Our story
Local Flights Café & Bar + Kitchen was created with one simple idea in mind: to bring the flavors, hospitality, and spirit of Sacramento into the heart of Sacramento International Airport.
Located in the pre-security area of Terminal B, Local Flights is proudly reopening a space that is being transformed into a comfortable, natural gathering place for travelers, airport employees, and friends and families meeting loved ones at the airport.
Owned and operated by Sacramento-area small business owners Edwin Balli and Andrea Ayala, the team behind The Rio Pub in Rio Linda, Local Flights reflects deep community roots and a passion for welcoming service. Our concept blends a full-service bar, café, sit-down dining, and grab-and-go convenience—offering approachable comfort food, local flavors, and artisanal touches that celebrate our region.
As part of SMF’s ongoing concessions refresh, Local Flights is proud to help shape a more modern, locally inspired airport experience—one that feels warm, familiar, and distinctly Sacramento from the moment you arrive.
